The site is located in Longsheng Regional District within the newly-developed eastern area of Chongqing. With a total planning area covering about 50,000 square meters, the core component covers around 10,000 square meters. It is surrounded by the Yulinhe River on the east and the Mingyue Mountains on the west - a beautiful and poetic mixture of natural romantic scenery of mountains and water. The EADG planning team will forge an integrated ‘Film City’ with mixed uses such as tourist attractions, entertainment, business offices and educational institutions, with a central service zone. The planning concept is based upon the theme of ‘Magic City’ to fit into the hilly topography of Chongqing. The design features attention to such functional areas as film making and a film theme park, as well as a comprehensive business center.
